Ghana Immigration Service is one of the top government agencies in Ghana. The immigration service is responsible for handling all borders, and traveling abroad-related issues, either by air, land, or sea. It is a very prestigious position.

You can apply as a graduate, lawyer, accountant, statistics officer, and purchasing and supply officer. • Check to see if the application is open for new candidates. 

• Buy the e-voucher for the application from the nearest commercial bank or any approved bank. 

• Visit the Ghana Immigration Service website application portal at http://apply.joingis.com.

• Click on the apply now, enter the e-voucher and the pin code and proceed. 

• Provide details of your educational level

• Provide your personal and educational details

• Provide the latest 200x180 passport photo of yourself.

• Provide any other requirements in the application form. 

• Review your details and affirm.

• Submit your application and take note of your application ID number. 

• Print your application summary and check the platform for updates.

Basic Requirements for Application 

There is no hard and fast rule about applying for an immigration service in Ghana. Ghana Immigration requirements for 2022/2023 are based on your role and your educational level. The basic is the entry-level, where most people get started. 

The following entails the basic requirements for applying as a graduate:

• You must be a citizen of Ghana by birth

• You must not have any criminal police record or case 

• You must have a minimum of a first-class university degree 

• You must have completed your national service after university degree issuance

• You must ensure you are above 18 years and not more than 30 years at the time of application

• You must be mentally, medically, and physically fit 

• You must possess a good moral character and conduct and be self-disciplined

• You must have a minimum height of 173cm if you are a male and a minimum of 163 cm if you are female

Perhaps, you are not a graduate and you are considering applying for the Ghana Immigration Service. Take heart, do not worry. You can still get approval and be accepted. However, you need to ensure that you hold a good SSCE/WASSCE Certificate with a minimum of five credits including the core subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. 

In addition to that, you must have all the above requirements. If you do not meet the basic Ghana Immigration Service requirements, your application will be rejected upon application.
